About Our Business

I owe my love of art to the music industry. I LOVED to sing, but after a bittersweet 8th grade year in glee
club, (OK there was nothing sweet about it) “They” suggested I take one of their many fine art courses,
and here I am today.

I started wallpapering at the age of 14,  helping out family & friends. After a slow , meaningless
existence in the corporate world for more years than I like to admit, I started in the Faux Industry with
Wall Mysteries in 2004.  I had formal training with Barth White a wonderful teacher in Las Vegas.  Barth
helped transform the ultimate City of Faux, with such accomplishments as the Bellagio, Caesars and
Wynn Casinos, to name a few.  In the summer of 2005 I returned to Vegas for a decorative concrete
class.  I am committed to expanding my skills with ongoing classes and I’m addicted to searching the
web for new products and techniques. In February of 2007, I became the first certified Installer of
JaDecor in Southern California.  In November 2007 I took a Concrete Artist class in Vegas with Ben Ashby
with Concrete Solutions. Now I can make a mold with the sink customized for you OR overlay your
existing counter with concrete.

I branched out on my own with- It’s Beauty-Faux in Spring of 2006 in Murrieta, Ca. I have repeat clients
from Palm Springs to Baja & Denver to Tahoe. I love to travel, so I am open to working anywhere.
Murrieta/Temecula is the fastest growing area in California right now, so I have been fortunate from the
get go and working steady ever since.

Essential Kneads Massage Therapy & Bodyworks
Mary Wilson is the wonderful lady that keeps me flexible and in balance, mentally and physically every
other week with her top of the line massages. After a Xango energy juice, next to my jacuzzi bath, then
off to a completely relaxing massage room (O.K... I did the faux work in her studio). If you can't get by to
see Mary, she has a mobile massage service that is top notch. She doesn't leave behind the extras - like
warm lotion, hot packs (for under the neck after her treatment) and the heated massage table.  Essential
Kneads is an essential part of my life. Call her at (714) 791-6676 , (951) 500-2055 or email @

About Us, Links and Tips
Tips:
When guest are commenting on 'how professional' the painting looks- the 1st thing they notice is the edges.
1. When taping off for any kind of painting I run a light coat of the same paint I am protecting. Flat white paint
against the ceiling, white gloss for baseboards, etc. Then when you apply the color, no bleeding will occur.
2. Keep light pressure on the sponge or brush for a soft blended look and it will use less product all the time
saving your hand from cramping.
3. Make sample boards and look at them in the room at different times of the day. That rich Terra cotta may look
'pink' during a certain time of day, if the lighting is wrong. I make
sample boards for all projects.
4. Tissue- tear off the factory edges on the tissue, then crumble into a ball. Tearing all of your tissue before hand,
will make the application go faster (I watch TV while I'm doing mine) and limit the open time while painting. . X-tip:
Leave 1/4 of the tissue with 1 factory edge, only tear 3 sides. This will make a nice sharp edge for ceilings &
baseboards.
